Dinner in Paradise

Dinner in Paradise at Paradise Farms features the finest chefs in Miami preparing a delicious five course meal made with local organic products and paired with fine wines. The magic and charm of our lush edible landscape coupled with the finest chefs in Miami creates a uniquely intimate dining experience under the stars. Each year, we donate proceeds to a local charity or organization philosophically in line with our vision of sustainable, healing, and healthy organic food. This year we are sponsoring

Urban Greenworks, and Slow Food Miami

Urban GreenWorks provides environmental projects and food security programming to under-served urban communities throughout South Florida. Working with high school youth, at-risk young adults, prison inmates, the elderly, college students, and children from pre-k to middle-school, UGW builds urban farms, designs and plants neglected city spaces with native trees, works to increase our urban canopy cover, develops educational curriculum material and school gardens, and brings affordable, fresh food into inner-city neighborhoods through farmers markets.

Slow Foods is an all volunteer run organization that works to implement
local school and community gardens.

Prideline's  Project HEAT (Healthy Eating, Active Teens)  is a youth serving program that will provide peer-educator training for 24 LGBTQA youth and reach over 360 Miami-Dade County high school students. The goals of Project HEAT are to improve diet choices and food preparation skills and to increase physical activity among the LGBTQA youth it serves.  Youth LEAD Miami (past DIP recipient) will be a partner and collaborator on this project.  Youth LEAD’s mission is to create healthy, equitable, environmentally sustainable communities and schools throughout Miami-Dade County.  Project HEAT peer-educators will also engage in community outreach to inform residents of the existence of local farmers’ markets, conduct cooking demonstrations, create evaluations of local farmers’ markets and build 4 vegetable gardens in collaboration with the Urban Oasis Project (another former DIP recipient).
